IR
The first thing we look for is how you define success. We start out by asking what actual improved results (IR) you want to achieve in your organization or in your personal lives and how that will be tracked and measured. The value of a thoughtful definition of success is that it provides a target toward which everyone can aim. Everything else we do is specifically geared around achieving those results.

PBC
If that target is different than where you are today, then you must do something differently. PBC represents positive behavior change (note the word positive). A definition of insanity is to do the things that you’ve always done, but to expect different outcomes.

G
G represents goals. Doesn’t it make sense that if you have goals to focus your energy on, it would make it easier to change your behavior in a way that can be sustained? Goal setting is the tool that generates the activity necessary to turn creative ideas into stretch strategy, stretch strategy into proactive plans, and proactive plans into reality.

S+K
S+K represent the skills needed (the how to do something) and the knowledge needed (the where and when to do something). Our process focuses on development of behavioral analysis skills, meaningful communications, influencing or selling skills, problem solving, decision making, organizing time, disciplining, developing subordinates, delegating authority, motivating yourself & others, appraising performance, etc. The reason why we put these skills in our processes is that better than 50% of any manager’s job involves using these skills.
