Betsy Allen attended the inaugural Mad Hatter Tea Party for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Lee County on Friday, December 3, 2010 at the Harborside Event Center.  The inaugural event raised more than $30,000 toward programs and support for the organization’s seven club sites throughout Lee County, which serve more than 2,800 youths each year.

Nearly 200 guests enjoyed a champagne reception, Queen of Hearts silent auction and raffle prizes – culminating with the Mad Hatter Tea Party and a visit by Jill Conner Browne, the New York Times best-selling author of the humorous “Sweet Potato Queen” titles.
