Betsy Allen, along with about 220 leaders in the Southwest Florida business community, attended the 2010 Apex Awards Ceremony, presented by the Greater Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce Women in Business Group. 

Betsy congratulates Dr. Mary Kay Peterson, Director of Women’s Imaging at Radiology Regional Center, as this year’s Apex Award recipient.    Dr. Peterson was acknowledged for her concern and active involvement in educating the public about women’s health. She is a founding board member of the Susan G. Komen Foundation Southwest Florida Affiliate, past medical director of and current board member of the American Cancer Society and is active in many medical societies.

Dr. Peterson was among five finalists including Anne Rose with Lee Memorial Health System, Kathy Miller with Lifeline Family Center, Inc., Karen Miller with HSA Engineers & Scientists and Colleen DePasquale with Courtyard by Marriott Gulf Coast Town Center and Fort Myers Floral Designs.

The award celebrates the professional achievement, community service, volunteerism, personal development and leadership of women in Southwest Florida.
