Betsy Allen, and fellow members of the Chamber of Southwest Florida, attended the Spirit of Free Enterprise luncheon at the Holiday Inn Airport-Town Center in Fort Myers on October 20, 2010.

U.S. Congressman Connie Mack spoke about the growth of the federal government and the importance of grassroots efforts to aid in the recovery of the economy.   Mack also made observations about the impact of the coming election and how changes to Congress would impact federal policy.

About 100 people attended and recognized the outgoing chamber chairman and welcomed the new chairman at the event.
