Business Development Series Launching in September

FORT MYERS (August 28, 2009) - In direct response to a Chamber of Southwest Florida member survey, local business development firm Gaining Results Inc. will launch a series of courses designed to help business owners integrate four critical developmental processes into their operations, all of which can dramatically affect the company's bottom line. The courses vary from 8 - 10 weeks in length with each weekly session running 2 or 2 ½ hours in length. All sessions will be held at the Chamber's offices in the Premier Executive Building at 5237 Summerlin Commons Blvd.

From September 8th through November 10th attendees will explore the process of strategic thinking and planning in the Entrepreneurial & Strategic Thinking course. Meeting for 10 weeks on Tuesday mornings from 8 - 10 a.m., the series is "a management tool to help an organization focus the energy of its employees, ensuring they are all working toward the same goal", explains Gaining Results founder Betsy Allen. The strategic planning process provides a format for developing specific strategies, converting those strategies into a business planning process, and establishing measurable and attainable goals. The price for Chamber members is $1,595.00, for non-members it is $1,995.00.

Time Management will be the subject of the 8 week series on Wednesday mornings from 11 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. beginning on September 9th and concluding on October 28th. Through this course attendees will learn how to overcome procrastination, how to effectively prioritize and to determine that each remaining day of their life will be invested in those activities which are most professionally and personally rewarding. Says Allen, "The quantity of time will not change, therefore what needs to change is our perception of time, and how we manage our time, both professionally and personally." CSWFL members will pay $1,195.00 for the course, non-members $1,495.00.

Beginning September 10th attendees at the Team Leadership course will explore the process of becoming an effective team leader. "Team leadership development is not only possible, but also eminently profitable," says Allen. "Good team leaders are the key to the success of an organization." For 10 weeks the group will meet on Thursday mornings from 8 - 10 a.m. The series concludes November 12th. The cost for the Team Leadership series is $1,195.00 for CSWFL members, $1,595.00 for non-members.
